Description
Selection #10 Markaz Baboos, Logar (Primary crop)
Logar Province is located at the South East of Afghanistan, bordering both the eastern highlands and the southern territories. It borders with Nangarhar, Kabul and Ghazni, making it one of the busier places in the country. We filmed some of the fields here during the vegetative stage and came back to the same fields to see how they had shaped up leading up to the apex of the flowering season. This year, a
lot of crops which were standing lush in the vegetative stages got destroyed and cut down by the Talibani administration. Places like Paktia, Kandahar, and Ghazni were the hardest hit, taking a massive toll on some who will likely continue to suffer under the restrictions imposed by the Talibani admin.
Selection #10, our final selection from Markaz Baboos, Logar was this tall female around 8-9 ft tall with completely black/purple leaves and buds. She had a great upright structure with strong side branches with heavy yields of resin coated flowers. Apart from the vigor and eye catching beauty, it was the smell coming off of this plant that made us select it. The overall terpene profile is an extremely strong odor that permeates the surroundings, consisting mostly of sharp notes of diesel and industrial floor cleaner like chemical-type aromas.
