Reaching scolville levels as high as 200,000- 580,000, the Red Habanero is one of the hottest habanero-type peppers one can grow. This pepper can be described as having a nuclear-hot flavor! They ripen to a brilliant red instead of the standard golden-orange. The wrinkled fruit are 1.5″ long x 1.25″ wide, are thin-walled, and have very few seeds. The fruit-set is average on 14″ to 18″ plants. Mature in 95 days. Peppers act as annuals in northern zones, but are truly a perennial plant in tropical, frost-free zones. Full sun.
