Calendula Officinalis ‘Fiesta Gitana’
Cool-weather, hardy annual with orange, yellow, and salmon blooms. Direct-sow in fall or early spring in the front of the garden beds. Prefers cool temperatures and appreciates filtered shade. Tolerates poor soil. For best blooms do not over-water. Flowers all summer long. Stays compact, growing to only 8-12″ tall. Reseeds easily. Easy to grow- ideal for beginners. Attracts some beneficial insects and repels a couple of the bad ones. Calendula flowers are edible and taste great in salads.
