Capsicum annuum ‘California Wonder’
The ‘California Wonder’ Bell Pepper has been the standard bell pepper for many decades. Introduced in 1928, this is still the largest open-pollinated bell pepper one can grow. The upright plants are prolific producers of large, blocky, thick-walled peppers with 3-4 large lobes. Ideal for stuffing, this sweet pepper is tender and flavorful. The glossy, deep-green 4″ x 3.5″ peppers turn red at maturity around 75 days. Peppers act as annuals in northern zones, but are truly a perennial plant in tropical, frost-free zones. Full sun.
